While I was tidying up my desktop this week, I realised that I still had a wonderful bit of Bach lurking in my files which didn’t make it into our most recent book, A Baroque Christmas.

As the Christmas season is already in sight, this week seemed the perfect time to share it with you. I hope that you, your flute friends, students, concert audiences or church might enjoy it.

The bonus piece is the beautiful Sinfonia from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio arranged for two flutes and piano (or organ), and I’m attaching the complete package of the flute duo plus piano score completely free to download. John has even recorded a harpsichord accompaniment track for you (at A440, modern pitch).

The arrangement also works with violin, oboe, or treble recorder, so you can mix and match with your friends and students.
