Flutes Inspired in France đ”đ«đ·
Fabulous fluting, good food, great wine, and musical friends all in a medieval French village on the banks of a peaceful river. Itâs the perfect recipe for flute inspiration.
This yearâs Flutes Inspired in France course has just finished and it was an absolute joy, with lots of hard work, growth and confidence, and inspiring individual performances from all the participants. The final celebratory concert ranged from the renaissance Ascendit Deus (arranged by John Alley) through to Bernsteinâs Candide overture. Our magical 12th century church was full and the audience loved every moment.
Hereâs a glimpse of this yearâs course highlights:
Video soundtrack: John and I play FaurĂ©âs Notre Amour from our book MĂ©lodie (yes, Iâm playing both parts). You can buy it HERE.

Next year we have two courses, in May and October. There are just two places remaining in 2025, on the October course. John and I are already looking forward to welcoming participants from England, Scotland, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Italy and the USA. The last remaining places will fill quickly, so donât miss out. Please email me for more information.
If you love the sound of this but next year doesnât work for you, email me anyway to put your name on the pre-application list for 2026 (I know thatâs so far away!). That way, youâll get my âPrivate Viewâ newsletter before the 2026 dates are publicly released. đ
